Garlic Green Beans

Garlic Green Beans

Garlic green beans are a great side dish to make alongside any dinner, and come together super quickly too. With just a few ingredients, they’re deliciously and simply seasoned. They go along with everything!

The process is simple: You steam or boil the green beans, then saute them with healthy amounts of garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper until they’re soft on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. Yum.

I’d recommend adding them to your dinner alongside my mozzarella pesto chicken wraps and oven-roasted spiced potatoes.

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz/3 cups green beans
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Boil a pot of water with a steamer over it. Or, boil enough water to submerge the green beans. Steam the green beans for 5 minutes, or add a pinch of salt and boil the green beans (blanch them) for 3 minutes. Drain.
  2. Heat up a cast iron skillet to high heat. Add the olive oil. Slice the garlic thinly and fry in the olive oil until golden brown.
  3. Add the green beans and saute. add the pepper and salt to your taste. Saute for about 5 minutes total, then turn it down to low heat until yous serve. That’s it! Enjoy!
